Career Overview

The Designer Behind the Work
Hi! My name is Autumn. I’ve been an artist for as long as I can remember. I started with just drawing and painting, but it eventually grew into an interest in experimenting with color, typography, and composition. I became fascinated by how effective design can shape people’s perceptions and help them understand complex topics. I also enjoyed designing presentations, even for personal use, and organizing my notes in ways that made information easier for myself and others to understand.
In high school, I had the opportunity to take a graphic design course, and it was there that I realized I could turn my love of art and creativity into a career. While still in high school, I began taking college courses through dual enrollment and earned an associate’s degree in IT before 12th grade, giving me an early technical foundation that continues to complement my work as a designer.
While in college, I also started a freelance business creating custom digital portraits in Illustrator and traditional paintings on canvas. Freelancing introduced me to illustration while teaching me how to collaborate with clients and transform ideas into finished pieces.
Today, I’m a designer specializing in interactive learning experiences, visual communication, and instructional design. At WILL Interactive, I create training products and visual resources, including interactive programs, presentations, facilitator guides, and infographics. I’ve contributed to projects for organizations including AIG, the U.S. Naval Academy, the Office of Research Integrity, Snapchat, and Under Armour.
As I look toward the future, I’m excited to continue growing as a designer, expanding my skills, and exploring new ways to combine creativity, technology, and meaningful communication. I hope to create work that not only looks thoughtful and engaging but also helps people learn, connect, and take action. I’m eager to make a lasting impact through purposeful design and contribute to projects that improve the way people understand and experience the world around them.
Now that you’ve read a little about me, I’d love to hear about you. If you’d like to connect, please reach out to me on LinkedIn using the button at the top of the page.
